Clinical Laboratory Credentialing Specialist (Onsite or Remote)

Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with a lab near Kalamazoo, MI that combines cutting-edge technology with a commitment to accuracy, service, and impact—and we’re looking for someone who can help expand our reach and strengthen our payer network.

In this role, you will play a critical part in expanding access to our laboratory services by securing in-network agreements with commercial insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid across multiple states. What You’ll Do
• Lead end-to-end credentialing and enrollment efforts with commercial payers and Managed Medicaid plans across multiple states
• Prepare, submit, and manage initial and re-credentialing applications to establish and maintain in-network status
• Build and manage a centralized credentialing tracking system to ensure deadlines, renewals, and follow-ups are proactively managed
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support strategic growth initiatives and network expansion
• Conduct consistent follow-up with payers to accelerate application processing and approvals
• Review payer contracts for accuracy and alignment with CPT code reimbursement and negotiate rates when appropriate
• Ensure full compliance with payer requirements and all state and federal regulations
• Maintain exceptional accuracy in documentation, data management, and reporting

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of healthcare credentialing experience
• CPCS certification preferred
• Proven success credentialing across multiple states, ideally within a laboratory setting
• Strong analytical and research skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe/Foxit
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and solve problems proactively
• Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
• A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
