As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Waves for Good, you will:

• Conduct remote counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families, utilizing secure video conferencing tools to facilitate effective communication and support.
• Perform thorough psychological assessments to accurately diagnose client concerns, develop personalized treatment plans, and establish measurable goals tailored to each client's needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues, focusing on the practices that yield the most positive outcomes for clients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support to clients in need, ensuring their safety and well-being through careful assessment and appropriate response strategies.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards to protect client privacy.
• Educate clients about mental health conditions, offering coping strategies and resources to empower them in managing their mental health independently.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including other providers and community resources, to deliver comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of client well-being.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed about the latest trends and research in mental health to enhance your skills and treatment approaches.

You will work with a diverse clientele ranging from adolescents to adults, each grappling with different mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your empathetic approach will be essential in understanding their unique experiences and helping them create actionable paths toward healing and growth.

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

• A current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in your state of residence.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees.
• At least two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic practices.
• Strong proficiency with telehealth platforms and technology, ensuring smooth operation during client sessions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients.
• A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and practicing ethically in all situations.
• The ability to work autonomously while being a proactive member of a remote team.

While not mandatory, experience in providing counseling services via teletherapy, coupled with familiarity with tools such as EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, is advantageous for this role. Waves for Good Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
