You will be instrumental in assessing mental health needs, developing customized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Your contributions will help pave the way for personal growth, resilience, and improved mental health among a diverse clientele.

About the Organization

At Positively Living Counseling Services, we are committed to promoting mental health and wellness in the Fort Collins community and beyond. Our team consists of skilled professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals, couples, and families. We prioritize a collaborative environment that values clinical excellence, cultural competency, and continuous learning. As a recognized provider of mental health services, we strive to create a welcoming atmosphere that respects the diversity and unique needs of each client.

Work Environment

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing for a balance of personal and professional life, which is crucial in the mental health field. While the position is remote, you will be integrated into our support structure through regular virtual team meetings and access to our digital resources. You will work in an outpatient facility that emphasizes quality care without the constraints of traditional in-office settings, providing you with the tools to manage your caseload effectively while contributing to positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify client issues, formulate clinical diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions—including individual, group, and family therapy—utilizing evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and offering immediate support.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation of client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists and social workers—to deliver holistic care that addresses all aspects of clients' health.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available community resources, while also advocating for their needs.
  • Engage in professional development through ongoing education and training to stay abreast of advancements in mental health practices and therapeutic techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse range of clients, including individuals with various mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. Our clients vary in age, background, and socio-economic status, providing you with the opportunity to apply your skills in a wide-ranging context. This role requires empathy, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to adapt your therapeutic approach to meet the varied needs of each client.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW).
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health setting is required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also thriving as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and best practices in mental health care.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred, although entry-level candidates may be considered depending on qualifications.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and teletherapy is a plus, given the remote work structure.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide health, dental, and vision insurance options, ensuring that our team members have access to comprehensive benefits. Our supportive work culture enhances job satisfaction with opportunities for continuing education and professional development, allowing you to grow in your career.

At Positively Living Counseling Services, we believe in fostering an environment that encourages career advancement. As you gain experience and demonstrate your abilities, opportunities will arise for leadership roles or specializations within the organization. We are committed to investing in your professional journey, providing access to training sessions, workshops, and mentorship.
