Position Overview

Touchstone Wellness Center LLC is actively searching for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to join our innovative telehealth team. This full-time position allows you to provide vital support to individuals confronting the challenges of substance use disorders from the comfort of their own homes. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping clients achieve recovery and improve their overall mental health.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to conduct all counseling sessions via telehealth platforms. We prioritize flexibility and work-life balance, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Some evening shifts may be required to accommodate the schedules of clients in need. Our telehealth setup includes secure electronic health record (EHR) systems, which facilitate efficient documentation and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs, determining the most appropriate therapeutic approaches based on their unique situations.
  • Develop, document, and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to substance use disorders.
  • Facilitate individual counseling sessions, employing therapeutic modalities such as motivation interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to encourage positive behavioral change.
  • Lead engaging group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment where clients can share experiences and learn from each other.
  • Collaborate regularly with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to ensure comprehensive care coordination and facilitate necessary referrals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute substance-related emergencies, actively listening and responding empathetically to their needs.
  • Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to support long-term success.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational policies.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in case consultations, contributing insights and supporting the professional growth of colleagues.
  • Stay informed on advancements in substance use disorder treatment and integrate new strategies into practice as applicable.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a member of the Touchstone Wellness Center team, you will serve a diverse client population struggling with substance use disorders. Our clients range from young adults to older individuals, each with unique backgrounds and recovery challenges. By fostering a non-judgmental and empathetic therapeutic environment, you will empower these individuals to reclaim their lives and build sustainable, healthy habits.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders, effective therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based treatment practices.
  • Prior experience providing individual and group therapy, particularly in the context of addiction recovery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with clients.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, maintaining client confidentiality, and upholding professional standards.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in standard computer applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to collective goals.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with clients with substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
  • Proven experience in crisis intervention and handling substance-related emergencies.
