Job description

E-Commerce Growth Specialist
UKG Job Code: SECMGSPX
E-Commerce Entrepreneur-in-Residence For A FUN Fishing Company
Want to Build Something Bigger Than a Shopify Store?
Most E-Commerce jobs are boring.
You spend your days tweaking product pages, building out new split tests, staring at dashboards, and helping some giant corporation sell a few more widgets.
This isn't one of those jobs.
At Salt Strong, our mission is simple:
Help anglers catch more fish, save time on the water, and create unforgettable memories with the people they love.
Every lure we sell, every piece of gear we recommend, and every product we launch helps families spend more quality time together doing something they love.
And now we're looking for someone to take ownership of one of the most exciting growth opportunities inside our company.
You'll Run Fish Strong, our E-commerce store, Like It's Your Business
This isn't a "manage the website" role.
This is an opportunity to become the driving force behind FishStrong.com - our rapidly growing E-Commerce business serving one of the most engaged fishing communities anywhere.
You'll own the strategy.
You'll own the growth.
You'll own the customer experience.
You'll own the numbers.
You'll work alongside a world-class team of marketers, content creators, designers, developers, and operations experts-but Fish Strong's growth becomes your scoreboard.
Think of it like being an entrepreneur...
Except you start with:
  • A massive and loyal audience
  • Hundreds of thousands of passionate anglers
  • A proven brand people trust
  • Existing traffic and customers
  • A talented team behind you
  • A mission that actually matters

If you've ever dreamed about running your own E-Commerce company without taking on all the startup risk, keep reading.
Your Mission
Grow FishStrong.com into the go-to destination for fishing gear, tackle, accessories, and products trusted by our community.
Your primary objective is simple:
Primary KPI

You'll:
  • Improve product page and checkout conversion rates
  • Test offers, bundles, upsells, and landing pages
  • Analyze customer behavior and funnel drop-off points
  • Optimize every step of the customer journey
  • Turn more visitors into customers

CRM & Lifecycle Marketing (HubSpot)
Some of our biggest opportunities already exist inside our customer base.
You'll:
  • Improve customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing
  • Build and optimize email automations
  • Increase abandoned cart recovery
  • Improve upsell and cross-sell performance
  • Increase member-to-customer conversion rates

Responsibilities include:
  • Product launches
  • Seasonal promotions
  • Featured product campaigns
  • Upsell strategies
  • Cross-sell opportunities
  • Merchandising optimization

Campaign Strategy
You'll work closely with our marketing and content teams to develop campaigns that generate excitement and sales.
This includes:
  • Product launches
  • Promotional campaigns
  • Seasonal initiatives
  • Landing pages
  • Sales funnels
  • Member-exclusive offers

Paid Ad Strategy
Brainstorm with our ad creative team to develop high performing ads across multiple channels
You'll:
  • Identify top ad themes
  • Create new ad campaign ideas
  • Optimize landing pages

Analytics & Reporting
You love numbers because numbers tell stories.
You'll:
  • Monitor key E-Commerce KPIs
  • Identify growth opportunities
  • Use Shopify and HubSpot data to guide decisions
  • Report on revenue drivers and optimization opportunities

What Success Looks Like
Within this role, you'll help create:

  • Higher conversion rates
  • Increased average order value (AOV)

  • You understand E-Commerce strategy, CRO, merchandising, and customer psychology
  • You know how to use HubSpot for lifecycle marketing
  • You're highly analytical but also highly creative
  • You love testing ideas and measuring results

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Direct-to-consumer (DTC) experience
  • Subscription or membership business experience
