Job description

Data Architect

Location: USA remote

Data Architect (Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, Azure, and Workato)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Architect to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our data pipelines, data flows through system integrations, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering and experience designing data architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, Build, and Maintain Data Pipelines: Maintain ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources (APIs, databases, flat files) into the data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake) through Fivetran
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from internal and external systems, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness
  • Data Quality & Cleansing: Implement data validation, cleansing, and enrichment processes to ensure high-quality, trusted data
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and queries for efficiency and scalability
  • Data Warehouse Management: Support the administration, security, and ongoing maintenance of the data warehouse infrastructure
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Data Product Owner and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Report Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of existing Tableau dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and accessibility for all users
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of pipeline architectures, data models, data dictionaries, and report definitions
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all reporting processes adhere to company policies and data governance standards
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure SQL Data Warehouse)
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Airflow)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data integration, and database design concepts
  • Familiarity with API integration and RESTful web services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into effective data visualizations
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with business and technical teams
Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare staffing or related healthcare industries
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements in healthcare
  • Experience with Tableau, Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran specifically
  • Experience with Workato or other iPaaS solutions
  • Experience with source control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
