• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that take into account each patient's unique cultural and personal background, fostering an understanding of their individual experiences.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address diverse mental health concerns, focusing on cultivating resilience and well-being among patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide integrated care and address comprehensive treatment needs.
• Respond to mental health emergencies by providing immediate crisis intervention and support to clients in distress.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources within the community to enhance their understanding and engagement in their care.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance the team's approach to care.
• Stay informed about new research, best practices, and evolving cultural dynamics impacting mental health therapy to deliver the highest quality of care.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license in the state of New York as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT is essential for this role.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to engage with diverse populations sensitively and effectively.
• A commitment to continual professional development, including a willingness to engage in further education around cultural competency and evidence-based practices.

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting providing mental health therapy, particularly with diverse or marginalized populations.
• Experience using telehealth technology and methodologies in delivering effective therapy sessions.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems relevant to mental health clients in the Rochester area.
