Job description

Job Title: Associate Attorney – Commercial and Real Estate Litigation​

Location: Houston, Texas​, Galleria Area

Firm Overview: Vestige Law is a boutique law firm focusing in corporate and real estate law, including shareholder rights litigation, business asset protection, and real estate development. Our team is dedicated to delivering personalized and effective legal solutions to our clients. ​

Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team, focusing on commercial and real estate law. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse docket of cases under supervision, encompassing all phases from pre-suit through trial.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a docket of commercial and real estate litigation cases under supervision.​
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, filing lawsuits, discovery, motion practice, pre-trial preparations, and, eventually, independent trial proceedings.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas.
  • Strong self-motivation and commitment to excellence in legal work.​
  • Excellent analytical, research and issue spotting skills.
  • Experience in discovery, deposition and dispositive motions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.​
  • At least 2 years of experience in commercial and real estate litigation, required.

Compensation: Compensation is based on billable hours provided or the first three months, followed by an evaluation to assess performance.​ No benefits offered during the initial evaluation period. An associate can earn up to $160,000 with base and bonus if the billable hour requirement is met.

Upon a successful phone interview you will be invited for an in-person interview with one of our attorneys. Ideal candidates will then be brought to a second in-person interview with our principal attorney who will make the final decision. Candidates invited to the second in-person interview should submit a list of no less than three professional references.
