Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (Entry-Level). While you will be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office, we offer hybrid flexibility. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&R’s market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans.
  • Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations.
  • Erosion and sediment control design.
  • Stormwater management calculations.
  • Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design.
  • Infiltration Testing.
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following:


Creating 3-D surfaces

Grading plans

Profiles/cross-sections

Pipe networks and corridors


  • Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals.


Qualifications include:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Engineer In Training license.
  • 0 to 3 years of civil engineering experience.
  • EIT a plus.
  • Schooling and/or work experience in the following is a plus:
  • Hydrology and hydraulics
  • Erosion and sediment controls
  • Stormwater management controls
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
