This site is also the Hypersonics center of excellence which built the scramjet engine that powered the record-setting X-51A Waverider.Projects may include supporting design areas such as mechanical design and CAD modeling.Tasks will likely involve assisting with the development of engineering designs that are used on solid rocket motor and liquid rocket engine applications, including conceptual design support, part selection research, computer aided design (CAD) and technical presentation support. Potential for hands-on experience with engineering hardwareintegration and test exposure, and computer aided design software tools used to create 3D models.Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar major), and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
• 1 year or less of relevant work experience
