MGA Research Corporation is a world-renowned testing services and equipment provider with nine facility locations across North America. We are seeking an entry-level Test Engineer to work in our automotive test lab in Lincoln, Alabama. This position is responsible for project management and the coordination of testing for a variety of automotive clients, as well as the physical test execution. Testing ranges from dynamic sled, airbag, static component, and full vehicle crash as we support our customers in the development and homologation of their products.
MGAโ€™s facility in Alabama is located approximately 45 miles east of Birmingham, Alabama. We are situated right next to the famed Talladega Superspeedway, and right in the middle of the buzzing automotive industry in the Southeastern United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute vehicle crash, sled, airbag, or other component tests and report technical results in a timely manner
  • Planning, coordinating, and management of projects and test processes to ensure the highest levels of test quality and customer satisfaction
  • Provide both physical and technical support for daily testing activities
  • Direct involvement in customer outreach and business growth plans in the Southeast
  • Management/oversight of other team members in daily operations including technical guidance and customer service
  • Development and continuous improvement of testing procedures
  • Quality related activities such as preparation, checking, and filing of calibration reports and maintaining our instrument and equipment database
  • Provide regular updates to management on project progress
  • General business and/or engineering sales
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Willingness to work in a physical testing environment, including setup and execution of tests
  • A strong knowledge or interest in the automotive testing processes both pre-production and post-production
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for business related meetings and/or other MGA facilities for technical support
  • Applicants must have a valid driverโ€™s license and a clean driving record.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Written and verbal fluency in a foreign language: Spanish and/or German.
  • Internship or other experience in the automotive field
  • Business or other sales background a plus
