Job description

It's time for you to grow where you're valued. Steel Tool & Engineering in Trenton, MI is hiring a full-time Entry-Level Quality Inspector! In this role, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience, expand your industry knowledge, and grow your career potential.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Maintaining high levels of precision, quality, and compliance with manufacturing standards
  • Performing quality control inspections on tools, components, products, and engineering materials
  • Accurately documenting product defects and recommending corrective actions
  • Using various measurement tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.) to check product dimensions
  • Maintaining inspection records and supporting quality control audits
  • Helping internal teams solve problems, enhance the daily manufacturing activities, and execute continuous improvement/development strategies

Entry-Level Quality Inspector Compensation:

  • Competitive Pay: $19.25- $20.25 per hour
  • Steady Schedule: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

You're a Fit if You Have:

  • Strong knowledge of measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to regularly lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.)
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with few breaks

Our ideal candidate is familiar with ISO standards and manufacturing regulations. Quality inspection experience within the steel, tooling, or engineering industries would be a bonus!
