Quality Control Inspector (Electrical/Mechanical)

Location: Katy, TX (77494 area)

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Shift: Full-Time | Please specify preference: 1st Shift or 2nd Shift ### Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and high-integrity Quality Control Inspector to join our Power Electronics production team. In this role, you will perform hands-on and visual inspections of in-process and finished goods to ensure every product meets strict engineering specifications and ISO 9001 standards before shipping. This is a critical role for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a background in technical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Verification: Perform detailed visual and hands-on inspections of electrical assemblies and mechanical components.
  • Non-Conformance Reporting: Accurately document and report any Non-Conforming Products (NCP) according to established procedures.
  • Technical Compliance: Read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams to verify workmanship and acceptance criteria.
  • Documentation: Ensure all assembly and QC records are complete, signed, dated, and reflect the current revision.
  • Training & Mentorship: Guide and train production personnel on departmental quality methods and procedures as assigned.
  • Safety & 6S: Maintain an organized work area and monitor the floor for PPE compliance and unsafe practices.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency using hand tools and precision measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Blueprint Reading: Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical wiring schematics.
  • Quality Standards: Basic working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Language: Proficiency in English (written and oral) for detailed reporting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
