Job description

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented assistant based in the Los Angeles area to support our lifestyle and entertainment departments at Conscious Living PR and Conscious Hollywood.

This role requires supporting two supervisors simultaneously, making exceptional multitasking and strong prioritization essential. While this is primarily a work-from-home position, it requires regular in-person support several times a week and on weekends. You will provide backup assistance at PR events, press appointments, and photo shoots throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas. For the right candidate, this position offers significant room for growth as we continue to expand both departments.

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor online and print publications for client coverage, maintaining organized press clippings
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support
  • Draft memos, press materials, client bios, and updates for client offers
  • Compile and research targeted media and press lists for pitching and outreach
  • Provide onsite client coverage at press activities, including phone interviews, panels, virtual junkets, and premieres
  • Create, update, and manage digital press kits
  • Manage and post content across the company’s various social media platforms, organizing content calendars
  • Support the team in booking client hair, makeup, and styling
  • Assist with pitching and track outreach progress in team spreadsheets

Qualifications

  • Communication & Detail: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an uncompromising eye for detail.
  • Adaptability: Ability to stay composed, positive, and resourceful in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Problem-Solving: A strong, proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Able to work seamlessly across multiple communication channels (Slack, Zoom, phone) both independently and as a supportive team member.
  • Professionalism: High emotional intelligence, absolute confidentiality, and a polished, professional presence when interacting with clients onsite.
  • Dedication: Public relations is a rewarding but demanding industry. We are looking for someone who is genuinely driven, resourceful, and ready to put in the effort to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree
  • Must reside in the Los Angeles area with daily availability to travel onsite for events and appointments as needed
  • Prior work or internship experience that translates directly to the demands of this position

Hours & Compensation

  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PT, with additional coverage required for evening and weekend events (and holidays, though very rare).
  • Salary: Hourly pay, commensurate with an entry-level position. We also provide a work-from-home allowance to contribute toward mileage, cell phone, internet, and computer usage.
  • Benefits: Sick pay, 401(k), health insurance, and paid vacation time, once qualified.
