Due to the departure of our current Property Accounting Assistant, we are seeking an entry-level replacement to support the Property Accounting team. This position is ideal for a current accounting student, recent graduate, or an individual looking to begin a career in accounting and real estate finance.

he Property Accounting Assistant will provide administrative and accounting support for a portfolio properties while gaining hands-on experience in reconciliations, financial reporting, account payable, and general accounting functions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assist with monthly close processes and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and research outstanding items.
  • Review and organize invoices and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with accounts payable and vendor inquiries.
  • Maintain accounting files and electronic records.
  • Support bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
  • Assist with tenant billing and collections tracking.
  • Prepare recurring reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
  • Communicate with property managers and internal departments regarding accounting-related questions.
  • Scan, upload, and organize accounting documents, invoices, lease files, and other supporting records to ensure accurate electronic recordkeeping and compliance with Perform special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
