As part of one of the largest franchise systems in the country, SERVPRO of West Palm Beach is looking for a Mitigation Technician to join our team at our Florida location. As a mitigation technician, you will work mainly at client job sites to aid in mitigating personal or commercial property loss and/or damage from:

  • Water
  • Fire
  • Mold
  • Weather
  • Biohazard


As a mitigation technician, your job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Water extraction
  • Cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing
  • Placing and operating loss mitigation equipment such as blowers, fans, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and heaters
  • Rolling up carpet
  • Cutting and removing drywall
  • Repairs and minor construction
  • Board-up and tarping
  • Cleaning up and throwing out damaged debris and materials
  • Smoke and soot removal
  • Mold containment and/or removal
  • Cleaning contents and personal property
  • Use and application of appropriate professional cleaning products


Position Requirements

  • Valid drivers license
  • Authorized to Work in the United States
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Overtime, to meet the needs of our customers
  • On Call, when necessary


Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
