POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Graduate Engineer II at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for performing entry-level professional engineering work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
  • Responsible for designing specific system components for the overall design effort.
  • Performs design calculations, prepares equipment or material specifications, and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel.
  • Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions.
  • Determines additional information that is needed from internal clients and coordinates them directly with LJA.
  • Makes basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given.
  • Applied prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Adjusts and correlates data.
  • Recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • May exercise limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and the adoption of alternatives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science, in Civil Engineering is required.
  • EIT License required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 years of experience in Land Development
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
