D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Construction Scheduler in the Construction Department. The right candidate will create, update, and maintain computerized construction schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develop schedules for construction projects. Use historical data and estimates in the creation of the schedule
  • Coordinate with the field and other departments to ensure an accurate timeline
  • Oversee the unification of field and office systems
  • Collect, forecast, and disperse construction data to trades and internal customers
  • Provide reports and updates to management and the field
  • Manage the schedule and revise it as necessary
  • Update the historical database with data from ongoing projects
  • Able to work overtime
  • Able to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with or knowledge of basic construction processes and terminology preferred
  • Experience working in JD Edwards a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
