Salary Range or Starting Hourly Rate: $55,000 - $90,000 /year

 

Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Cost Analyst, supporting TOS II, at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. The Cost Analyst will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for analyzing costs and working with various departments and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency of cost reporting and budgeting for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with project controls cost leads, and project managers to monitor project performance.  This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical skills.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports.
  • Support project managers in the development of monthly project estimates, monitoring project cost performance, funding availability and Earned Value Management related reporting.
  • Support annual workload proposal process and subsequent proposal revisions.   
  • Perform budget, financial and cost variance analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor project costs for accuracy and comparison to budget.
  • Process actual cost corrections when needed.
  • Support on demand business reporting requests as required.
  • Analyze financial data to provide accurate and timely cost reports to stakeholders.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in either Finance, Accounting, or Engineering plus one year of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Formulas, Vlookups).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing data analysis.
  • Basic understanding of project cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze complex financial data.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team player to meet deadlines and deliverables.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.
