Job description

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking qualified candidates who wish to be considered for full-time entry level production positions at our Engineered Lumber Products (ELP) Manufacturing Facility in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
The wage for this role is $19.53 per hour.
We offer a competitive starting wage along with Gainsharing bonus opportunities. Benefits include 401K match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
Key Functions:
  • Responsible for the daily operation of manufacturing equipment that produces engineered lumber products.
  • Perform regular Preventive Maintenance and clean-up on equipment.
  • Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and issues on a regular basis.
  • Involvement in ongoing process improvement in the work area.
  • Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure production of a quality product.
  • Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
  • Attend team meetings and regular training sessions.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited agency/institution
  • Must upload a resume or list work experience which adequately documents employment history
  • Two (2) years employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Willingness & ability to work any shift assignment (including graveyards) which will involve work on weekends and holidays
  • Willingness and ability to work a 12-hour shift.
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to perform basic math and use computers
  • Successful completion of pre-employment testing process
  • Ability to work within a team setting
  • Willingness and ability to cross train to learn new jobs & skills
  • Ability to perform the job essential functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Willingness to work in Natchitoches, LA without requiring relocation assistance
