Job Summary

As an entry level Product Engineer, the successful candidate will interface with other team members representing a wide range of disciplines, including: Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Test, Optical, Quality, Reliability and System.  With product responsibility, the successful candidate will help coordinate specifications between these groups, conduct tests, troubleshoot problems, analyze data, recommend product/process improvements, complete product validations / qualifications and maintain documentation, all with the goal of developing the best infrared sensor technology in the industry. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned tasks, both on time and within budget
  • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, test systems or subsystems 
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop test designs that best support them
  • Establish and implement product design and manufacturing process changes to reduce cost and improve performance
  • Identify yield limits and recommend changes to increase manufacturing margin
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and customers, as required
  • Acceptable analytical and problem solving skills
  • Acceptable understanding of the fundamentals of circuit analysis
  • Hands-on experience in electronics test lab environment 
  • Ability to work independently or with multiple teams, on multiple assignments
  • Provide inputs for budgetting, costs and scheduling for product support tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED 

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and expereince
  • Experience: 0 years; Internships or Co-Ops are a plus

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Python, .NET, C#, C, C++, Visual Basic, VB Scripting or equivalent programming language     
  • Familiarity with of Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Logic Analyzers, Source Measure Unit, DMMs, etc.
  • Test experience of infrared detectors, or equivalent 2D imagaging sensors is a plus
  • Familarity with MatLab, ImageJ or similar software tools for evaluating / processing image data is a plus
  • Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and DMMs
  • Other higher level programming languages

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
