Job description

ENTRY LEVEL PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - TEMPORARY

SpaceX's Starlink program is building the world's most advanced satellite internet constellation to deliver high-speed, reliable internet to every corner of the planet. A critical part of this mission is the production of Starlink Gateways, the high-performance ground stations that connect the satellite network to the terrestrial internet backbone. We are looking for motivated, hands-on technicians to help scale Gateway manufacturing with uncompromising focus on quality, reliability, and throughput.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components for Starlink Gateways, including subassemblies and final integration
  • Build and test electrical sub-assemblies, wire harnesses, and RF components
  • Integrate PCBAs, antennas, and thermal management systems into Gateway chassis
  • Perform conformal coating, potting, masking, and precision epoxy applications
  • Operate automated manufacturing equipment while performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Conduct functional and environmental testing of hardware, including thermal, vibration, shock, and vacuum testing
  • Set up and execute test procedures to validate performance under extreme conditions
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet aggressive production schedules and quality targets

POSITION DETAILS:

This is a TEMPORARY position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate

  • LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 Months
  • LOCATION: Woodinville, WA
  • SHIFT: 1st shift: 6 AM - 4 PM

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or vocational training

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, integration, or precision manufacturing
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
  • Familiarity with RF components, antennas, or outdoor-rated telecommunications equipment is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital manufacturing systems
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, or automotive assembly environments
  • Background in prototype development, functional testing, or root cause analysis

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
    • Estimated shift times 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, stoop, bend, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-reliability hardware for mission-critical systems

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Level 1: $22.00 - $26.50
Level 2: $25.50 - $31.00
Level 3: $29.50 - $37.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for potential discretionary bonuses. You will also be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year.
