Responsibilities

Working under close supervision and following detailed verbal and written instructions, performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations (including machine operations) to massproduce medical device products.

  • Performs simple to semi-complex tasks in the preparation for medical device assembly, including cut to length processes and packaging as needed.
  • Places parts in specified relationship to each other per written documentation
  • Assembles products according to approved standards operating procedures
  • Reads and follows operations sheet as to assembly, start-up, and operation of production equipment
  • Perform moderately complex set-ups, adjustments, operates, maintains, and cleans machines moderate complexity to perform assembly process on assembly line. Includes inspection and cut to length process.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require
  • Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line
  • Performs self-inspection on all assembly work performed
  • May conduct basic to semi-complex quality inspection of own or other's work in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • Perform moderately complex first piece inspections using simple test equipment
  • Maintains clean and orderly workstation
  • Accurately records and completes manufacturing documentation, i.e., logbooks
  • Communicates problems to supervisor, technician or engineer
  • Perform stock/kanban transactions, and enters lot information into computer/terminal
  • May work with engineers and/or technicians in pilot run of assemblies. May perform assembly of custom products
  • Provides advice and guidance to entry-level associates. May train entry-level associates
  • Participates in team-based activities
  • Has completed basic production, health, safety and environmental hazard training courses
  • Must be able to perform job functions while walking and/or standing up to 100% of the time during a shift.
  • Follows all corporate, safety and production standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

High school diploma. Requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience

Must have successfully completed training as an Operations Associate-Entry

  • Ability to work varying shifts and overtime hours when required
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Must have ability to complete training courses
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to use and read measuring devices, i.e., rulers, calipers, micrometers, reticules, thermometers, gauges, etc.
  • Ability to follow protocols
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
  • Understands and is able to apply regulatory (QSR, ISO) requirements in everyday activities
