Job Overview


Terry’s Pools is seeking a dependable, trainable, motivated Maintenance Technician to join the team who is comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work. This is a full-time position reporting to the Tallahassee, FL area with the expectation to perform routes in your local area Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays. Our main objective is to provide consistent, top-notch pool services to our customers. This is an hourly position with no selling required; just cleaning and maintaining the pools!

Responsibilities

  • Driving the company vehicle to the customer's location, loading and unloading tools as needed.

  • Monitor, diagnose and correct chemical levels for swimming pools by testing swimming pool water pH, salt or chlorine levels and adding chemicals to correct pH level.

  • Performs cleaning of swimming pools and clearing debris in a safe and sanitary condition, including clearing Skimmer baskets.

  • Brush and vacuum swimming pool according to established procedures.

  • Check and perform preventative maintenance on pumps, chlorinators, heating and filtration equipment to maintain operative condition.

  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of chemicals, parts and supplies as needed.

  • Makes minor adjustments and keeps equipment in great condition.

  • Performs heavy manual labor, including operating riptides and vacuums.

  • Maintains maintenance records and schedules in Skimmer.

  • Maintains log of work completed and orders necessary supplies.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.


Essential Skills and Experience


  • This is an entry level position with no experience necessary - we will train you

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Valid US Driver’s License

  • Clean driving record

  • Functional Smart Phone

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Ability to swim proficiently

  • Attention to detail

  • Reliable to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Prior experience or knowledge with pool equipment and troubleshooting is preferred but not required
