The main difference between an Entry Level Pool Technician and a Pool Service Technician lies in experience and certifications. Entry level roles typically require minimal certifications and focus on basic pool maintenance, while Pool Service Technicians often have more experience and certifications, handling more complex tasks. Both roles work in similar environments, but the entry-level position is ideal for those starting in the industry.

Do you need experience to be an entry level pool technician?

Entry level pool technicians typically do not need prior experience, as training is often provided on the job. Basic knowledge of pool equipment and safety procedures can be helpful, but most employers hire candidates willing to learn and may require a valid driver's license. Certifications such as a lifeguard or pool operator license can enhance job prospects but are not always mandatory for entry-level positions.

How much do entry level pool technicians make?

Entry-level pool technicians typically earn between $12 and $16 per hour, depending on experience and location. Starting salaries may also include benefits such as training on pool maintenance tools and safety protocols.
