Position Type: Full Time W-2 (no 1099 or Corp-to-Corp is available)
Position Description:
JTEC Consulting is hiring a Systems Engineer at the entry level to provide system lifecycle support. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated analytical and technical skills to support a dynamic technical environment. Current U.S. government security access is required for consideration.
Contingency: Anticipated start date in June 2026 pending program funding and approval.
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Work as part of a collaborative team supporting design, development, integration, and maintenance for complex technical systems.
  • Ensure reliable operation to meet organizational requirements.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into efficient and effective system solutions.
  • Apply analytical skills for troubleshooting and issue resolution, and implement system improvements.
  • Evaluate system performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendor partners, as required.
  • Promote industry best practices to meet customer's requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include (but are not limited to):
  • U.S. citizenship; no dual citizenship
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline related to systems engineering such as computer science, physics, or math
  • 0-1 year of hands-on experience supporting the systems engineering lifecycle including:
    • Design and development
    • Testing
    • Production
    • Deployment and distribution
    • Operation
    • Maintenance and support
    • Decommissioning
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with government and contractor teams
  • Must be self-driven and able to work independently in a dynamic environment that offers stretch growth opportunities for continuous learning and development
