Job Description
A Joint Use Analyst manages utility pole attachments and outside plant data. This role requires deep expertise in IKE Office Pro to process field data, run structural calculations, handle third-party attachment permits, and maintain compliance standards like the NESC.
Core Responsibilities
  • Make-Ready Analysis: Identify pole and structures such as height and class, wire attachments, equipment, and anchoring of existing utility poles. Evaluate attachment applications, measure clearances, and review make-ready engineering designs.
  • Pole Loading Calculations: Utilize integrated tools like IKE Pole Foreman to run structural analysis and check pole strength limits.
  • Workflow Automation: Track application projects using dashboards and automate client deliverables via IKE Insight.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate with internal engineering teams to resolve attachment conflicts and clear compliance backlogs.

Required Qualifications
  • Software Mastery: Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft and IKE Office Pro. IKE PoleForeman/OCALC for measurement and load analysis is a plus.
  • Industry Standards: Strong familiarity with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) rules and joint-use agreement frameworks.
  • Data Management: Ability to manage asset records, GIS data layers, and audit logs within a cloud-based environment. Self QC prior to delivery is expected.
  • Time Management: Ability to self-manage workflow efficiently to meet project deadlines and target hourly pole rates.
  • Communication: Use Teams for quick daily chats and team questions. Post a short daily progress update by 9:00 AM every day.
