Job description

Title: Electrical Distribution Designer 
Location: Blue Ash, OH – Cincinnati Area
Job Type: Contract – To Hire
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $35.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Initially in-office with potential to move to hybrid

Job Description
We are seeking an Electric Distribution Designer to support electric distribution projects throughout Ohio. This position will be responsible for developing detailed utility construction drawings, reviewing technical and field information, and coordinating with project teams, consultants, and utility owners. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of electric distribution design experience, with previous exposure to make-ready/joint-use, pole loading, and third-party attachment work highly preferred. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify detailed electric distribution construction drawings
  • Support distribution projects throughout Ohio
  • Perform design work associated with make-ready, joint-use, pole loading, and third-party attachments
  • Review field information, measurements, sketches, existing plans, and mapping to develop accurate designs
  • Coordinate with project teams, consultants, utility owners, and other technical professionals
  • Review technical documents, utility standards, specifications, and project requirements
  • Prepare accurate design documentation, calculations, sketches, and reports
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting quality, schedule, and client requirements
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience
  • Electric distribution design experience required
  • Make-ready and/or joint-use experience preferred
  • Experience with pole loading and third-party utility work preferred
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline preferred
  • Experience developing construction drawings for utility or infrastructure projects
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret utility plans, standards, and specifications
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
