POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the general supervision of the Quality Team Manager and Lead Sanitation Technician, this person is responsible for providing sanitation support within production and warehouse.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completing environmental sanitation tasks during line changeovers
  • Operation of floor scrubber in production and warehouse common areas
  • Daily trash removal from production area to include pallets, drums, and bags
  • Daily maintenance of handwashing/boot scrubbing vestibules cleanliness and supplies
  • Floor drain cleaning
  • PIT and scrubber cleaning
  • Management of wash bay and all activities within
  • Back-up operator for trash compactor
  • Help develop and revise sanitation procedures
  • Adherence to the Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Other duties including entry-level line positions (e.g. pack-off and equipment disassembly) as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of uses of cleaning devices and chemicals
  • Ability to follow through on assigned task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on a daily basis and sustain physical work
  • Basic knowledge of equipment/machinery
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to operate a floor scrubber
  • Scissor lift certification or ability to be trained on scissor lift
  • PAPR use may be required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in food manufacturing
  • Collaborative communication skills

The pay rate for this position is $17.85 - $26.77.
