Job description

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for Claims Analytics & Strategy, AVP from our Cheshire, Connecticut office location. This role is responsible for using data, analytical methods, and strategic thinking to gain insights into claims trends and provide actionable insights to improve our claims operation efficiency and performance.

This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively create analytical insights to break down complex problems and develop actionable recommendations based on data
  • Review and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of analyses, reports, and deliverables
  • Align data and metric goals and projects with claim's strategic objectives
  • Anticipate trends, identify opportunities for innovation, and drive initiatives that add value to the organization through data transparency
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key business partners and understand their needs, priorities, and challenges
  • Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Build definitions and requirements for key performance indicators across claims
  • Assist in development of dashboards and reports to track claims performance metrics
  • Collaborate with the claims team to implement process improvements based on data insights.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on claims issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to claims processing
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance claims efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the development and implementation of claims performance improvement strategies and routines
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, Statistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to executive leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience collaborating and leading cross functional teams
  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.

Compensation:

Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $97,880 - $213,030. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
