Entry Level Paid Training information

What is entry level paid training?

Entry level paid training refers to programs or positions where individuals with little or no prior experience are hired and provided with training while being paid. These roles are designed to help newcomers learn the necessary skills and knowledge for a particular job or industry. Paid training ensures that new hires can earn an income as they gain hands-on experience, making it an attractive option for people starting their careers or switching fields. Employers benefit by developing skilled workers who are trained to meet their specific needs.

What can I expect from the structure and content of an entry level paid training program?

Entry level paid training programs typically combine classroom instruction with hands-on experience, allowing you to learn both the theoretical and practical aspects of the job. You can expect to work closely with trainers, mentors, and fellow trainees in a supportive environment, often progressing through modules that cover essential job functions, company policies, and industry best practices. Regular assessments and feedback sessions are common to track your progress and address any challenges early on. These programs are designed to help you build confidence, develop key skills, and transition smoothly into your new role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in an entry level position with paid training, and why are they important?

To succeed in an entry-level role with paid training, you generally need a high school diploma or equivalent, a willingness to learn, and basic organizational skills. Familiarity with standard office software or industry-specific tools may be beneficial, but most technical skills are taught during training. Strong communication, reliability, and a proactive attitude help you stand out and quickly adapt to new environments. These qualities are essential for successful onboarding, rapid skill acquisition, and long-term growth within the organization.

What is the difference between Entry Level Paid Training vs Customer Service Representative?

Work EnvironmentVaries by industry; often includes classroom and hands-on trainingOffice or call center setting, interacting with customers
Employer UsageUsed by companies to train new employees across industriesCommon role in retail, telecom, and service sectors

Entry Level Paid Training programs are designed to teach new employees the skills needed for specific roles, often with no prior experience required. Customer Service Representatives handle customer inquiries and support, usually after completing initial training. While both involve training, Entry Level Paid Training is a broader concept applicable across industries, whereas Customer Service Representative is a specific job role often requiring some basic credentials.

Job description

BUILD YOUR SALES CAREER. WE'LL TEACH YOU HOW.

You don't need years of sales experience to build a successful career in sales.

You need energy, confidence, a competitive mindset, and the willingness to learn.

At The Men With Tools, we're looking for outgoing, motivated people to join our growing team as Entry Level Sales Representatives.

You'll represent our window and door company face-to-face at local events, home shows, retail locations, active project sites, and communities we serve. Your job is to start conversations, create interest, and connect homeowners with our Design Consultants.

No home improvement experience? No problem.

We provide paid training and ongoing coaching to teach you the communication, customer development, sales, and leadership skills you need to succeed.

And if you're good at it? There's plenty of room to grow.

Many of our leaders started in entry-level roles just like this one.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Entry Level Sales Representative, you'll be one of the faces of The Men With Tools in the community.

You'll meet homeowners face-to-face, introduce them to our premium window and door solutions, learn about their home improvement needs, and schedule complimentary consultations with our Design Consultants.

This is not a desk job. This is not a cold-calling position.

You'll be out in the field, meeting real people, building relationships, developing your communication skills, and learning how to turn conversations into opportunities.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to break into sales, earn based on performance, and build a long-term career with leadership potential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Engage with homeowners face-to-face at home shows, community events, retail locations, active installation sites, and neighborhoods we're currently serving
  • Start conversations and identify homeowners interested in improving their windows and doors
  • Educate homeowners about our products and complimentary design consultations
  • Generate qualified appointments for our Design Consultants
  • Build excitement and awareness around The Men With Tools brand
  • Professionally represent our company throughout the communities we serve
  • Participate in team goals, competitions, challenges, and performance incentives
  • Learn proven communication and sales techniques through hands-on paid training
  • Develop valuable skills in sales, customer communication, marketing, and leadership

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

No previous sales or home improvement experience is required.

We're looking for people who are:

  • Positive and energetic — you're comfortable meeting and talking with new people
  • Competitive — goals, numbers, and challenges motivate you
  • Confident communicators — or you're willing to learn how to become one
  • Coachable — you can take feedback and put it into action
  • Ambitious — you're looking for growth, not just another paycheck
  • Dependable — your team knows they can count on you
  • Self-motivated — you're willing to put in the effort to reach your goals
  • Team-oriented — you want to win individually and as part of a team
  • Hungry to grow — you want to develop skills that can take your career further

Experience in retail, restaurants, hospitality, customer service, athletics, events, marketing, or sales is helpful, but it's not required.

We hire for attitude, personality, and work ethic. We'll train the rest.

Reliable transportation to events and project locations is required.

WHAT YOU'LL EARN

Hourly Base Pay + Uncapped Performance Bonuses

$1,200–$2,400+ Per Week

Your earning potential grows with your performance.

The more qualified opportunities you generate and the stronger you perform, the more you have the opportunity to earn.

There is no cap on performance bonuses.

You'll also receive paid training from day one, allowing you to learn the role while building valuable sales, communication, and leadership skills.

WHY PEOPLE JOIN US

We believe hard work and strong performance should be recognized, rewarded, and given room to grow.

  • Paid training from day one
  • Flexible full-time or part-time schedules
  • Weekly performance bonuses
  • Monthly giveaways and rewards for top performers
  • Team competitions with additional prizes and incentives
  • Additional bonus opportunities for hitting performance goals
  • Real mentorship, not just a manager
  • A clear path into leadership
  • Health insurance, PTO, and 401(k) for eligible employees
  • Team outings, contests, and recognition
  • A culture built on energy, not boredom

At The Men With Tools, when you perform, people notice. We recognize results, celebrate wins, and create opportunities for people who consistently show they want more.

PAID TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Never worked in home improvement? Never had a formal sales position?

That's okay.

We'll teach you.

Our hands-on paid training is designed to help you develop:

  • Face-to-face communication skills
  • Customer engagement techniques
  • Sales fundamentals
  • Product knowledge
  • Appointment-setting skills
  • Confidence speaking with homeowners
  • Goal setting and performance management
  • Leadership skills

You'll also receive ongoing coaching and mentorship as you develop.

We're not expecting you to walk through the door knowing everything.

We're looking for people who are willing to learn, compete, and improve.

WHERE THIS CAN TAKE YOU

This may be entry level, but it doesn't have to stay that way.

We believe in developing our own people and promoting from within whenever possible.

Strong performers can advance into opportunities such as:

  • Marketing Team Lead
  • Event Manager
  • Sales Management
  • Branch Leadership
  • Operations Management

Many leaders started by doing exactly what you'll be doing — learning how to communicate with customers, generate opportunities, hit goals, and lead by example.

Your performance, work ethic, and ability to lead determine how far you can go.

THE KIND OF PERSON WHO THRIVES HERE

You might be a great fit if you're the person who:

  • Can walk into a room and comfortably start a conversation
  • Enjoys meeting new people instead of sitting behind a desk all day
  • Likes having goals to chase
  • Gets motivated by competition
  • Wants their performance to impact what they earn
  • Likes being part of an energetic team
  • Wants coaching and feedback
  • Doesn't want to wait years for an opportunity to advance
  • Wants to develop real sales and leadership skills

If you've worked in restaurants, hospitality, retail, customer service, athletics, events, promotions, marketing, or another people-focused environment, your experience may translate extremely well into this role.

READY TO START YOUR SALES CAREER?

If you're outgoing, ambitious, competitive, coachable, and ready to work, we'd like to meet you.

You don't need years of experience.

You don't need home improvement experience.

You don't need to already be a salesperson.

Bring the personality. Bring the work ethic. Bring the ambition.

We'll provide the paid training, mentorship, incentives, and opportunity to grow.

If you're ready to build your skills, earn based on your performance, and create a career path with a growing company, apply today to join The Men With Tools as an Entry Level Sales Representative.
