Join the Mission. Save Lives. Build a Career That Matters.

At LifeShare Network Inc. every role plays a part in giving hope, healing, and second chances through organ and tissue donation. We are looking for passionate, driven, and team-oriented individuals to join our clinical operations team as an Organ Recovery Technician. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for those interested in healthcare, surgery, transplantation, and critical care support. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy hands-on clinical work, and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

What You'll Do

As an Organ Recovery Technician, you will support LifeShare's clinical recovery teams during organ donation and recovery procedures. Working alongside Organ Recovery Coordinators (ORCs), Surgical Recovery Coordinators (SRCs), and Organ Perfusion Specialists (OPSs), you'll assist in operating room preparation, organ preservation, donor case support, equipment management, and clinical logistics.

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in healthcare, surgical services, transplantation, or critical care environments while making a direct impact on saving lives.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Assist in operating room setup for organ recovery procedures
  • Support sterile field preparation and surgical instrumentation
  • Help package and label organs according to OPTN and LifeShare standards
  • Prepare preservation solutions, sterile ice, and biopsy specimens
  • Assist with donor case coordination and documentation
  • Support clinical teams in ICU and hospital settings
  • Assist Organ Perfusion Specialists with organ perfusion support, including maintaining organs on pump, monitoring perfusion equipment, and supporting organ offboarding processes
  • Maintain surgical equipment, perfusion devices, and organ preservation equipment
  • Participate in 24-hour shift coverage, on-call rotations, and travel to donor hospitals across the state
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards

What Makes This Role Unique

This is more than a healthcare support role; it is an opportunity to become part of the donation and transplantation process that changes lives every single day.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates who are adaptable, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and passionate about healthcare and helping others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in biological sciences or related healthcare field experience
  • CNA, MA, EMT, MLT, Surgical Tech, HT (Histotechnician), HLT (Histotechnologist), or equivalent healthcare training preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in hospital, surgical, pathology lab, perfusion, or OPO settings is a plus

Physical & Schedule Expectations

This role requires:

  • Working a 24-hour shift schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive on-call responsibilities
  • Standing for extended periods in operating room environments
  • Lifting and moving equipment up to 75 pounds
  • Frequent travel to donor hospitals throughout the LifeShare service area
  • Working in ICU, OR, laboratory, and hospital environments
