Description
The Buyer II is tasked with managing the procurement process to ensure the availability of high-quality materials, supplies, and services when needed. This role involves negotiating supplier terms, pricing, and delivery schedules using tools that assess inventory demands, quality standards, and scheduling needs. The Buyer II supports strategic initiatives to meet business goals and customer quality and demand requirements by developing the supplier base and mitigating supply chain risks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fulfill procurement needs for new customer parts, projects, and Aerospace and Defense purchases, including:oParticipating in contract reviewsoAnalyzing suppliersoReviewing bills of materialoObtaining supplier quotationsoPreparing and maintaining purchase orders from placement to reconciliation, ensuring quality and timely deliveryoWork independently or with a Sourcing Specialist to strategically identify reliable sources for new materials, products, and processesoSupport supplier development and assist in resolving supplier quality issues and performance improvements, which may involve:oCorrective action supportoNon-conformance supportoSupplier visitsoBuild and strengthen relationships with key suppliers.oAssist Sales in identifying potential long-term buying strategies for components.oReview and maintain supplier approval status and verify certification and documentation to meet AS9100 standards.oAnalyze material reports to maintain inventory levels, including:oPO Action ReportoMaterial Requirements PlanningoAddress material delays affecting the production schedule, including:oException reportsoReject ticketsoExpedite requestsoIdentify and pursue cost reduction opportunities for purchased components.oProcess supplier non-conformances and corrective action requests.oProcess purchase orders for customer-supplied materials as needed.oLead or support special procurement-related projects.oRead and understand customer and company assembly prints with training.oCollaborate with various departments, including Sales, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Facilities, and Finance.oParticipate in and contribute to department L-10 meetings.oAssist in developing departmental policies and procedures.oEnsure compliance with all Quality System Requirements.oAdhere to company values and policies in all work areas.oPerform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

• Ability to multitask with high attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
