Job description

Job Summary

Set up, operate, and tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten plastic material.

General Accountabilities:

· Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications.

· Set up, test, and adjust machines according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.

· Load workpieces into machines.

· Position, align, and secure workpieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.

· Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.

· Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.

· Examine completed workpieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.

· Maintain, clean, and lubricate machines.

· Comply with all OSHA and company safety rules

· The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
