Job description

Ocean Spray is Now Hiring an Entry Level Production Worker at the Middleboro facility. This 600,000 square foot processing plant has 3 production lines and can produce up to 80 million pounds per year of Sweetened Dried Cranberries (Craisins). This volume represents more than 30% of Ocean Spray's North American Sweetened Dried Cranberry volume and is operated with a workforce of approximately 200 team members. The Entry Level Production Worker position is a 12-hour rotating shift from 6pm-6am with rotating weekends off with a starting pay rate of $22.04 per hour plus a shift differential. The position is a year-round position, working indoors with three 30-minute paid breaks.

Position Overview:

Primary responsibilities include maintaining, cleaning and sanitation of the facility and equipment (hosing floors, sweeping spills, etc.). Other duties include but are not limited to screening final product to ensure there is no foreign material, creating appropriate documentation; operation of extraction, infusion, filtering, and packaging equipment; and performing quality tests.

  • Must maintain excellent attendance reliability.
  • Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a 24/7 environment, 12hr nights, every other weekend, and possibly some holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to climb ladders and traverse elevated platforms with frequent standing and walking.
  • Ability to detect differences in color shades and brightness.
  • Must be able to lift low to medium weight on a regular basis
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety and Quality standards, processes, procedures.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team to resolve issues.
