Job description

The Probate Fiduciary Accountant will manage probate and fiduciary accounting tasks, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. Client Details This long-standing trusts and estates firm is hiring in their Naples, FL location. This is an onsite position. Description Identify, collect, analyze, abstract, organize and maintain facts and documents, including wills and trust documents, in accordance with compliant legal practice and procedure Identify, collect, analyze, abstract, organize, maintain financial statements and spreadsheets relating to client investments; extract information for preparation of tax returns as needed Develop and maintain relationships with clients and personnel Obtain and clarify information necessary to substantiate facts, identify documents and support legal actions Review estate planning documents, wills and trust agreements for preparation of income tax and excise tax returns Assist gathering asset and debt information for trusts and estates Organize and maintain information, records and documents supporting legal actions Assist analyzing legal proceedings to identify possible issues Develop, implement, maintain tracking and accounting systems for client investments facilitating preparation of U.S. trust tax returns Prepare U.S. federal and state estate tax returns (Form 706 and state equivalent as needed) Prepare U.S. federal and state fiduciary income tax returns for estates, testamentary and inter vivos trusts (Form 1041 and state equivalent as needed) Prepare individual and non-profit organization U.S. tax returns (Form 1040, Form 709 and Form 5227) Prepare trust and estate probate and fiduciary accountings Prepare related filings such as extensions of time to file for all accounting and returns Address IRS notices and resolve pending tax issues Track deadlines assuring returns and accountings are filed timely or extended when applicable Profile A successful Probate Fiduciary Accountant should have: 2+ years of experience as a tax fiduciary accountant Experience with probate and fiduciary accounting processes. Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in accounting software and tools. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000.
