The successful candidate will work onsite in our Alexandria outpatient office, where teamwork and collaboration are essential. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including the review of medical history and the use of standardized assessment tools to formulate a targeted treatment plan that addresses unique needs.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment recommendations to patients and their families, collaborating with them during the goal-setting process to enhance engagement and compliance.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to individual patient presentations, adjusting techniques as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes within the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Engage in multidisciplinary consultations, recognizing when changes in a patient's condition warrant modifications to their plan of care or referrals to allied health professionals.
• Demonstrate efficient time management skills while maintaining accurate documentation that reflects the patient's journey, including initial evaluations, treatment logs, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives to raise awareness about physical therapy services, contributing to the growth and visibility of our practice.
• Stay abreast of industry developments by actively pursuing continuing education opportunities to maintain professional competencies and fulfill state licensing requirements.

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. As a Physical Therapist at Bay State Area Physical Therapy, you will play a critical role in implementing therapeutic interventions that promote rehabilitation and enhance patients' quality of life. Your therapeutic touch and personalized approach will be instrumental in fostering positive patient experiences and outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one.
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or equivalent certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.

• While prior work experience is not required for this entry-level position, any internships or volunteer experience in a clinical setting will be a plus.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is advantageous.
