Entry Level Network Monitoring primarily involves overseeing network performance through monitoring tools, while Network Technicians perform hands-on troubleshooting and hardware work. Both roles require similar certifications and are used in similar environments, but their daily tasks differ in scope and complexity.
Our client is seeking a Level 2 Network Engineer to support and enhance a multi-site network environment. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed beyond entry-level network support (L1) and is ready to take on more hands-on responsibilities with routing, switching, and troubleshooting. The position offers a mix of project work, operational support, and equipment deployment in a dynamic environment undergoing ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
This individual will spend approximately half their time contributing to network-related projects, with the remaining time focused on troubleshooting, issue resolution, and preparing network equipment for deployment. The environment includes recent and ongoing initiatives such as SD-WAN implementation, wireless upgrades, and evolving Cisco-based infrastructure.
