Here's a summary of responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Network Engineer to join our IT team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in networking and gain hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure.
Here’s how you’ll have an impact:
  1. Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points and UPS battery systems).
  2. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  3. Provide first-level technical support for network-related incidents and service requests.
  4. Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and patching.
  5. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Visio experience preferred but not required.
  6. Support network security initiatives, including access control and vulnerability monitoring.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support business operations.
  8. Participate in On-Call rotations or after-hours support as needed.
  9. Participate in IT projects, and other infrastructure improvement efforts.
  10. Maintain an organized and secure IT environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  11. Other duties as assigned, Including occasional domestic and international travel.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or relevant work experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or infrastructure-related role.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS, routing, switching, and cabling).
  • Hands-on experience supporting or maintaining UPS battery backup systems.
  • Familiarity with WhatsUp Gold or similar infrastructure monitoring platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to follow standard procedures and accurately document technical work.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with networking hardware and operating systems.
  • Exposure to ITIL practices and documentation standards.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA/ACSP (preferred)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with USOPC structure, Olympic and Paralympic Movement, or high-performance sport
  • Ability to handle confidential information and communicate only to intended audience, especially pertaining to medical records
  • Proficient computer skills in database management and analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse population including, but not limited to, athletes, coaches, administrative staff, physicians, volunteers, and other medical personnel
  • Ability to deal with non-routine matters and special projects with minimum and/or specific instructions
  • Passion for Team USA and the ideals of the Olympic & Paralympic movement
