Job description

POOLHOUSE, a Republican political and advertising agency, is looking for smart, driven, and detail-oriented interns to join our post-production team this summer. Our 10-week paid summer internship is a full-time program for rising college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who want to build real-world editing experience, get a front row seat to how high-performing political TV and digital ads are crafted, and contribute to fast-paced post-production workflows supporting campaigns across the country.

Interns will work alongside our post-production team for the length of the program, gaining hands-on experience, practical techniques from tenured professionals in the advertising industry, and day-to-day exposure to how a fast-paced post department operates.

Requirements

  • Collaborating with our Editors on edit prep, asset management, pulling selects, creating string-outs, and all things related to “offline-editing”
  • Complete quick-turn edits
  • Assist with internal project management including creative timelines and quality control for video projects
  • Assist with media encoding and exporting files in the necessary formats
  • Participate in our archiving efforts for proper storage of completed projects
  • Provide entry-level motion graphic skills on edits that require them
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications for editing
  • Proven organization skills and the ability to adapt to new assignments, deadlines, and conditions quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people across multiple accounts
  • Working knowledge of G Suite.

Additional Information:

  • Interns are paid minimum wage and will work full-time
  • Interns must be available for a full-time, 10-week in person program running from June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026
  • Interns must have reliable transportation
  • Interns will be asked to be present in the Richmond office – Monday - Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Candidates must attach a resume and demo reel or personal portfolio
