The Norfolk Admirals is an ECHL professional hockey organization committed to delivering an exceptional fan experience both on and off the ice. Through innovative marketing, compelling storytelling, and engaging digital content, we connect with fans, partners, and the community throughout the season and beyond.
We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Graphic Design Intern to join our Marketing & Creative Services team. This internship offers hands-on experience in professional sports while contributing to real-world projects that reach thousands of fans across multiple platforms.
Position Summary
The Graphic Design Intern will assist in creating visual content that supports the organization's marketing, communications, ticket sales, corporate partnerships, community relations, and game presentation efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, sports, and storytelling, with a strong understanding of branding and digital media.
Responsibilities
• Design graphics for social media, email marketing, website content, and digital advertising campaigns.
• Assist in creating game-day graphics, promotional materials, and fan engagement assets.
• Support the development of print materials including flyers, posters, brochures, signage, and event collateral.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team on seasonal campaigns and special projects.
• Maintain brand consistency across all creative assets.
• Edit and resize graphics for multiple platforms and formats.
• Assist with photography selection, image editing, and basic motion graphics projects as needed.
• Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and campaign planning meetings.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Familiarity with After Effects, Premiere Pro, or motion graphics software is a plus.
