The Opportunity:
As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.
As a multimedia designer, you'll create engaging digital media products that support mission-focused training and communication requirements. In this role, you will collaborate with instructional designers, multimedia developers, active-duty military subject matter experts, and government clients to produce high-quality video, animation, and interactive training content. Your responsibilities will cover the entire production lifecycle, including concept development, storyboarding, video capture, audio recording, editing, motion graphics, animation, and final delivery. You will leverage your creative and technical expertise to translate complex procedures, technical information, and instructional content into compelling visual experiences. Additionally, you will have opportunities to support eLearning and interactive content development using tools such as H5P. This position is located in Virginia Beach, VA.

You Have:
  • Experience with professional video production, editing, and rendering
  • Experience operating video cameras, lighting equipment, microphones, and related production equipment
  • Experience editing video and audio using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience creating motion graphics and animations using Adobe After Effects
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition
  • Experience developing visual and multimedia assets for digital, video, instructional, or training products
  • Ability to manage multiple production assignments and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, subject matter experts, instructional designers, and creative team members
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in multimedia design, video production, animation, graphic design, or digital media, or 7+ years of experience in multimedia design, video production, animation, graphic design, or digital media in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting Department of War or U.S. Federal Government clients
  • Experience producing technical, procedural, or instructional video content
  • Experience creating 2D or 3D animations, and with 3D modeling or animation software, including Blender or Maya
  • Experience developing interactive content using H5P

  • Experience working with military training content, technical equipment, or operational procedures
  • Experience developing storyboards, scripts, shot lists, or production plans

  • Ability to provide creative direction during video capture and multimedia production

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
