Full Professor Position

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston's Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is seeking a distinguished Full Professor to join our academic and clinical community. This is a unique opportunity to lead and expand innovative research and clinical programs focused on Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD).

Position Highlights:

  • Academic Rank: Full Professor (Tenured)
  • Focus Area: Treatment-Resistant Depression
  • Location: Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Advance research in TRD through federally funded projects.
  • Provide clinical care and support service development for TRD.
  • Collaborate across departments and institutions within the Texas Medical Center.
  • Contribute to teaching and mentoring within the Psychiatry residency and fellowship programs.

Qualifications:

  • Federal Research Funding: Active NIH or equivalent federal grant support.
  • Medical License: Must hold a Texas medical license or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Clinical Expertise: Proven experience in delivering and supporting clinical services for patients with treatment-resistant depression.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior faculty and trainees.
