Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Saint Francis Hospital is looking for an Occupational Health Assistant for front desk / reception and patient registration duties.
Entry level $18.50-$23.50 depending on experience

Position Purpose

Provides front desk medical office support services for the Medical and Administrative Directors. Performs a wide range of secretarial/administrative functions while supporting and assisting the staff of Occupational Health & Health Promotion. Independently drafts memos and general correspondence with little or no supervision. Maintains a broad familiarity with the scope of services, functions and procedures of the department. Assists the Site Manager with special projects and with the supervision of volunteers. Occasional coverage at another departmental site may be required. Medical reception duties as required by Site Manager

What you will do

  • Greet patients to department in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner and ensures that the wait time is comfortable

  • Answer phones and provide exceptional customer service

  • Prepare and maintain patient's records, obtains accurate insurance and registration information

  • Perform other special assignments as requested. Support staff with clerical tasks and participates in care team meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; College coursework preferred

  • 3 to 5 years medical office experience preferred

  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology, Coding experience preferred

  • Must be well organized, communicate clearly and maintain a calm and professional manner
