Entry Level Medical Coding involves assigning standardized codes to medical diagnoses and procedures, focusing on accurate documentation. While both roles often work together and share similar environments, their core responsibilities differ: coding centers on documentation, billing on reimbursement. Certifications like CPC benefit both roles, making them complementary in healthcare revenue cycle management.
