Job description

Well-Being Pediatrics is looking to hire a Medical Biller/Coder. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, be able to work closely with upper management, be organized, and capable and willing to be a self-learner (keeping abreast of current and future changes in medical billing/coding rules). Resume and References Required to apply. Competitive pay commensurate with level of experience and knowledge.
Job Requirements:
1. Coding and Charge Entry of Claims
2. Follow-up of outstanding accounts receivable (A/R) of all payers and patients
3. Resolution of Denials
4. Ability to research and resolve accounts appearing on delinquent Insurance Reports
5. Knowledge of 2023 AMA E&M Coding Updates
6. Keeping up with recent coding/billing rule changes
7. Assist front desk staff with any insurance questions
8. Be available to speak to patients regarding and billing/insurance questions
9. At times may as well be asked to assist with front desk responsibilities; answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking in and out patients
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pediatric Medicine Billing and ICD-10
2. Capability to bill for all insurances and must have a strong knowledge of BCBSM, Medicaid, Medicaid HMOs and Private HMOs
3. Experience working within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management (PM) program, preferably experience with AthenaOne
4. Strong understanding of insurance benefits
5. Team Player
