Certified Medical Assistant  – High-Volume Integrated Practice - 40 hours per week

Location: Hyattsville, Maryland
Compensation: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
ABOUT YOUR WELLNESS SOURCES (YWS)
Your Wellness Sources (YWS) is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary outpatient practice providing integrated primary care, behavioral health, nutrition, and ancillary services. Our clinic manages 20+ in-clinic patients daily, in addition to procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and other clinical services.
 
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is not entry-level. Applicants must hold a current national Medical Assistant certification from an accredited certifying body. School diplomas alone do NOT meet this requirement.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical / Back-Office Duties
-          Room and prepare 20+ patients daily
-          Obtain and document vitals and histories
-          Perform venipuncture, injections, EKGs
-          Assist with Pap smears and procedures
-          Maintain infection control and OSHA standards
-          Stock exam rooms and complete logs
 
Administrative / Front-Office Support
-          Prepare charts prior to clinic
-          Triage calls and portal messages in AthenaOne
-          Coordinate referrals, labs, and refills
-          Support scheduling and patient flow
 Documentation & Compliance
-          Ensure accurate EHR documentation
-          Maintain HIPAA and clinic protocols
-          Communicate with multidisciplinary teams
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
·         Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA)
  (AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NCCA-accredited body)
·         Minimum 2 years outpatient clinical experience
·         Proficiency in phlebotomy, injections, EKGs
·         CPR/BLS certification
·         EHR experience (AthenaOne preferred)
·         Strong communication and time management skills
 
PREFERRED
-          Spirometry or audiogram experience
-          IV,  Intravenous experience
