The two-year fellowship will begin in August of 2022. In addition to salary and benefits, postdocs receive an annual allowance for research/conference-related travel and expenses. In addition, the school provides computers and computer support. During the period of the fellowship, fellows are expected to be in residence, work with faculty on research projects, participate in research seminars in the school and teach one course each year or otherwise contribute to the teaching and research mission of the school.

It has an enrollment of over 600 students in its MBA, Executive MBA, Americas MBA for Executives, Master of Science in Finance, Masters of Accountancy, Master of Marketing, and Master of Management in Health Care programs. In addition, Owen School faculty members teach in the Vanderbilt University undergraduate business minor. The Owen School enrolls students from all parts of the U.S. and 40 countries. Founded in 1873, Vanderbilt University is an internationally recognized research university with a student body of some 13,500 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, and approximately 1,460 full-time faculty (excluding faculty employed by the Medical Center), of whom 51 have their primary appointment in the Owen School. The university is situated on a 330-acre campus located a mile and a half south of downtown Nashville.
