Job Description

We now have an opening for an Entry Level Mechanic/ Porter/ General Service Technicians.

The right candidate will perform porter duties, preparing equipment for check out and checking in returning items. It will also organize the equipment on the, perform entry level mechanic duties, such as preventative maintenance and inspections.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain a written maintenance schedule.
  • Service and repair automobiles as necessary.
  • Successfully completed, understood and daily practice of all required safety and training.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance on all equipment and tools.
  • General housekeeping of warehouse and exterior premises on a daily basis.
  • Reporting of any unsafe acts.
  • Attend all required safety meetings and training required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Automotive/ Entry Level Mechanic with no less than one year of experience with repair, diagnostic equipment, and scan tools.
  • The right individual is someone who has a great attitude, is a team player, who is great at time management, and completes work with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to examine vehicles, diagnoses and, if needed discusses with management as to the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
  • Ability to use Mitchell 1 and research on the internet.
  • Must have own tools. If not, tools can be provided.
  • Communicates additional service requests to the Advisor for communication to client.
  • Maintains strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
  • Completes story/notes and/or documentation for repair order.
  • Understands and utilizes company computer system.
  • Keep work area, shop, break rooms clean. Keeps work area clean and tidy attends company training.
  • Understands and follows Federal, State and local regulations such as disposal of hazardous wastes.
Qualifications


         Motivation, willingness to learn and drama free.

         1 year of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting.

         High School Diploma or Equivalent.

         Excellent customer service and communication skills.

         Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

         Ability to read and respond to common inquiries from customers and/or employees.

         Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).

         Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment.

         General mechanical aptitude.

         Safety oriented.

         Must be physically able to work in a job-site environment for extensive periods to include lifting up to                  50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching.

  • We reimburse for ASE certification classes.
  • Paid Vacation (after one year) Paid Holidays (after 90 days).
  • Position is full time Monday - Friday.  Saturdays are not mandatory, although they are highly appreciated. There is potential for scheduled night shift work.
