We are a fast-growing stealth startup located in San Jose, CA. Our company has developed a breakthrough technology to custom design and manufacture 3D graphene and other carbon materials. Graphene has the promise to transform many industries as this carbon-based material is over 100 times stronger than steel, flexible, transparent, a great thermal conductor and the most conductive material that we know exists. The list of possible applications is expansive, including transparent touch displays, IoT sensors, game-changing battery electrodes, semiconductors, innovative composite materials and solar panels - just to name a few.
Our leadership team is seasoned in leading startups from an early stage to multi-billion-dollar companies. Our development teams have extensive experience in successfully launching products from conception to production. As validation that we are on the forefront of this coming transformation, we have acquired multiple revenue producing commercial and government contracts and recently closed a large round of funding and have opened a new production facility in San Jose to scale our production and accelerate our growth in key product development areas.

Manufacturing Technician - 12 PM to 9 PM Shift
This is an entry level position into our fast-paced learning environment. A Manufacturing Technician will set up, test, operate and adjust manufacturing equipment, using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical or computer technologies. You will be responsible for end to end processing of reactors and high temperature separation equipment. Working as an individual or in teams you will be responsible for the meeting production commitments while maintaining the equipment. Need to be an open-minded person willing to work in a collaborative environment. The position reports to the module operations manager.
Job Responsibilities
  • Safely operate (start-up, run and shutdown) existing mechanical equipment.
  • Ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment collect product
  • Follow documented procedure to run and service reactors
  • Transport inventory from the reactors to the finish goods area
  • Process inventory both physically and via the ERP system
  • Meet daily manufacturing targets
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitor chemical process lines, instrumentation, electronics, etc. and report any problems
  • Run analytical tests and perform data recording.
  • Routinely clean reactors and collection system
Qualifications
  • BS degree in electronics or science field or an AA degree with 1 to 3 years’ experience in electronics and/or chemical manufacturing environment
  • Background in bulk chemicals handling or high temperature processing preferred
  • Experience assembling and disassembling process equipment and process piping
  • Experience with analytical tools
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Visio, and alike
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to lift 25-pound boxes or pail to a height of 3-4 feet and load them into cabinets
  • Ability to follow duties as described by their manager
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and documentation
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals
  • Basic operation of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand assembly level drawings, Work Instructions, Procedures, and other manufacturing documentation
  • Ability to work on a compressed workweek shift schedule is a must.
