Position: Full-time

Pay: Hourly, $17.00-$22.00 (based on experience)

Job purpose

The Shop Utility position supports shop operations by performing entry-level maintenance and facility tasks to improve technician efficiency and overall shop productivity.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain shop cleanliness, including sweeping and general upkeep of work areas using appropriate equipment
  • Run for parts and assist with driver transportation (following drivers, pickups, and rides as needed)
  • Assist with tire removal and installation
  • Operate torches as needed (cutting/removal support)
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs, including hose replacement, valve replacement, brakes, and other bolt-on components
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including lube, oil, and filter services on power units
  • Assist with tractor detailing and general equipment cleaning as needed
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

  • Must pass an MVR report
  • Basic computer skills
  • Forklift operating experience or ability to learn
  • Ability to use metal cutting tools
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and comply with the company’s drug-free workplace policy
